Torch-On Roofing

Torch-On Roofing

Used on commercial, industrial, and residential roofing. Two ply torch-on roofs are a two-part system that consists of a base layer and a granulated cap layer. The first layer can be installed over recovery board or insulation and can be fully torched down or mechanically fastened with a plate and screw, depending on the specs.

Torch-On Roofs are a great replacement for the old tar and gravel roofs due to the fact that they have great elastomeric quality because of the SBS MODIFIED BITUMEN that they are made out of. No more splits, tears and costly roof repairs. They also look great and stand up to the elements.

Custom Sheet Metal Work

They are light weight, less expensive to install, are weather and UV resistant and very durable. Composite shingles come in a wide range of colours to match your personal taste. If you need to replace your old roof, composite shingles may be your best choice for complete protection from the elements and to add some serious curb appeal to your home.

Cedar Shake Roofing

Cedar Shake Roofing

There are many benefits to installing a cedar shake roof. Known as one of the world’s toughest woods, cedar is a durable roofing material. Cedar shakes have an extensive lifespan and come in shades of ambers, reds, golds and browns, adding visual appeal to your home. Cedar wood is a natural material that maintains its original dimensions in fluctuating weather conditions. Cedar has natural preservatives making it resistant to moisture and UV damage. Because of the tannin in cedar wood, it is also resistant to moss growth, fungus and insects. Cedar roofing also accepts a wide variety of finishes including oil, stain and paint, is a natural insulator and eco-friendly.

Shingle Roofing

Shingle roofing comes in many styles and colours, from rustic to modern so you can find the perfect choice to suit your taste in architecture. We can install our popular IKO Premium shingle with the look of natural slate or cedar shakes. Other shingle collections are manufactured for dimensional thickness, overall value for contractors and stunning, patented colour blends.

Some points to think about when selecting a shingle style are the pitch of your roof, algae resistance, and how your shingle choice will match the colour and architectural style of your house. If you want to stand out from the usual choices, you can consider a more individual look and have several choices at your disposal. Colour choices can be difficult because everyone has their own taste, but one trick is to look at your community favorites and take note of their colour combinations. If you have samples, look at them outside in the natural light and compare them against your house to compare colour combinations.

Soffit and Fascia Installation & Replacement

Soffit and Fascia Installation & Replacement

For over 20 years, we have been repairing and installing soffit and fascia for customers, 15 of those years being in the Okanagan region. Whether you need new fascia repaired or installed, we will help you get your construction problems solved promptly and within budget. Fascia board is attached to the exposed side of the roof rafters and visually acts as trim, increases weather protection and supports your gutter system. Fascia comes in a variety of colours and material to complement your home. Problems with your fascia can occur with wet rot. Fascia replacement is usually part of a larger siding project, but if you just need the fascia repaired, we can do that for you.

The Above and Beyond Roofing team are experts at fascia installation and repair. Fascia is the band under the roof edge that gives your house that finished look. Keeping your soffit well sealed will prevent squirrels, bats and birds from entering your attic where they can do damage and cause an unhealthy environment. If you need your soffits repaired, give us a call and we will help you choose the right “fix” for your budget. We can install both vented and non-vented soffits. Selecting the right soffit will not only secure your building against damage, but increase your curb appeal and property value.
